A Washington, D.C. engineer is creating a handheld device that can detect if a drone is anywhere near you. It’s called Droneshield and it uses a microphone to detect the acoustic signature a drone makes. The inventor is hoping to be able to sell it by the end of the year, just in time for Christmas when you don’t know what to get the paranoid shut-in in your life.
