Orb didn’t win the Preakness, but that didn’t mean it was a dull race– Oxbow became the first wire-to-wire winner at the Preakness since 1982 – ridden by hall of fame jockey Gary Stevens who won his third Preakness race. Orb, the Kentucky Derby winner came in fourth. Oxbow’s win time was 1:57.54. He went off as a 15-1 underdog and paid $32.80, $12 and $8.80.
