New Jersey Councilman Insults Women, Gays, Birds and Philadelphia

A Jersey City councilman is catching heat after making an enthusiastic status update on Facebook that offended Women, Gays, Birds, and the city of Philadelphia. During the Giants/Packers playoff game councilman Charles Mainor made the following post on his official Facebook page
“We are not going to just lay down, we come to play. Who the hell do you think we are the DALLAS COWGIRLS OR THOSE GAYBIRDS FROM PHILLY…NO WE ARE THE NEW YORK GIANTS.”
After receiving just one complaint, Mainor apologized and took full responsibility, but then explained that a friend had added the comments about “COWGIRLS” and “GAYBIRDS”. Hopefully this weekend he’ll keep his comments about San Francisco to himself.
