New Chevy Chase – Beverly D’Angelo Sitcom Gets Major Name Change
What’s in a name!? Well, if it’s the name of the new sitcom pilot starring Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angleo, it isn’t D’Angelo’s name anymore. The pilot being shot by ABC was originally titled “Chev & Bev”. It’s cute and it rhymes. However, TV Line reports that it was Beverly D’Angelo who wasn’t happy with it. According to their source, Beverly isn’t a fan of the nickname “Bev” and asked producers to use her full first name. Unfortunately, “Chev & Beverly” doesn’t roll off the tongue as well and her name was taken out of the title completely. The new title of the pilot is “Chevy”.
“Chev & Bev“, uh,”Chevy” features the National Lampoon “Vacation” series stars as grandparents who are retired baby boomers and have their dream retirement severely interrupted when they find themselves having to raise their grandchildren.
TV Line also said that the name change has nothing to do with any sort of drama on the set and won’t reduce Beverly D’Angelo’s role in the pilot.
