Negotiations for More Arrested Development Underway

Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos responded to questions from the Television Critics Association about Arrested Development, the wildly popular series that Netflix revived in 2013 for a fourth season. Deadline reports that following comments from producer Brian Glazer that Arrested Development would return in mid-2016 for a 17-episode fifth season, Sarandos could not confirm those reports. However, he did confirm that fifth season talks are ongoing and the show will continue to have a home at Netflix.
“We are plugging along. It’s a long, complex deal to make. Talent is very busy,” Sarandos said. “The intent is to have a new season of Arrested Development, and all negotiations are underway.”
