NCAA Announcer Apologizes For Trying To Bring Back Polack Jokes
CBS/Turner NCAA announcer Andrew Catalon apologized on Friday for using the word “polack” to describe the constant fouling of Gonzaga’s Przemek Karnowski who’s from Poland. After Oklahoma State continued to foul Karnowski, Catalon described the strategy as “Hack-a-Polack”. He later apologized during the game and on Twitter. His apologies kept coming when he told fans that he was sure that Karnowski could screw in a light bulb by himself.
I am truly sorry and I have personally spoken and apologized to Przemek Karnowski, who was very gracious in accepting my apology.
