Native American Reservation Ends Alcohol Ban
The Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, home of the Oglala Sioux, has just voted to legalize the sale of alcohol on the reservation. The vote came out to 1,843 in favor of legalizing alcohol versus 1,678 against, who blame alcohol for the reservation’s violence, crime, and 80% unemployment rate. On the bright side, being Native American bolsters a college application!!!
