Michelle Wolf’s First Stand Up Special Will Follow Curb Season Finale

Michelle Wolf is being recognized as a rising stand up star everywhere she turns. Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Daily Show, Comedy Central, and now HBO is the latest to get in the Wolf business. Today HBO announced that they will premiere her debut hour, Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady on December 2nd. An encore presentation will air immediately following the season finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm on December 3rd.

The hour was taped at New York City’s Skirball Center in New York City, covering her unexpected thoughts on feminism, the sexist nature of nature, some mysteries surrounding public restrooms, why Hillary Clinton could not be a “nice lady,” how it’s easier to conceive a baby than to make a croissant and more.

Wolf is beloved by fans, critics and other comedians for her stand up, her contributions on air and as a writer for “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” and prior to that as a writing supervisor and performer for “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” where she made her first late-night TV appearance as a comic in 2014. Wolf created and starred in two great digital series “Now Hiring” and “Used People” and also wrote for the 88th Academy Awards® telecast, hosted by Chris Rock, and has appeared on “Horace and Pete” and “@midnight.” She regularly headlines comedy clubs and colleges around the country, and has performed at a number of festivals, including the Riot LA Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, Moontower, Bonnaroo and the Dublin Comedy Festival. Her stand-up show “Michelle Wolf: So Brave” enjoyed a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016.

Michelle Wolf was named to Vulture’s list of “50 Comedians You Should Know in 2015,” hailed as one of “The Top 10 Funniest Women in NYC” by TimeOut New York, included in Rolling Stone’s list of the “25 Funniest People on Twitter Right Now” and selected as one of the “New Faces of Comedy” at the 2014 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Comedian Neal Brennan directed the special, which is executive produced by Michelle Wolf, John Irwin, Daniel Bodansky and James Dixon.
