Mets Find A Way To Offend Native Americans with Native American Heritage Day
The New York Mets planned on working with an American Indian non-profit organization to celebrate Native American Heritage Day at Citi Field. However, the Mets scheduled the event on the same day that the team is playing the Braves. By not wanting to offend Atlanta, the Mets canceled all the Native American singing and dancing during the day’s activities. Now the group, the American Indian Community House has pulled out of the event all together saying they’ve been marginalized by the Mets. The team’s next big event will be Alcoholics Anonymous Night when the Mets host the Brewers.
