Mel Brooks Live At The Geffen Premieres January 31 On HBO
Mel Brooks is back on stage with a one-man show coming to HBO!! The comedy legend and EGOT winner (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony), Mel Brooks is returning with a brand new special. Mel Brooks Live at the Geffen premieres Saturday, January 31st at 9 pm et on Home Box Office.
The 88 year old comedy icon performed the show in front of a capacity crowd at the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood, Los Angeles. During his career, Mel Brooks has done everything, TV,film,Broadway, acting, writing, directing and producing. During his special, he’ll be putting on his tux and telling amazingly funny stories from every aspect of that incredible career. Mel will have anecdotes about his films, “Blazing Saddles”, “High Anxiety”, “The Producers”, “Young Frankenstein” and others, plus he’ll be talking about working with Sid Caesar on “Your Show of Shows”, his wife Anne Bancroft and there’s even a Q&A with the audience.
