Martin Lawrence Kelsey Grammer Series Gets A Premier Date
Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer are both set to return to television with their new series “Partners” on Monday, August 4th at 9 pm et on FX. Lawrence and Grammer star as Chicago lawyers from different backgrounds who develop a partnership after they unexpectedly meet in court. Kelsey Grammer is best known as the star of “Frasier” and Martin Lawrence is best known for his own long running series, “Martin” as well as a long list of movies.
We’re looking forward to what FX comes up with here, as these two comedic powerhouses both had hit television series with wildly different styles and appeal. With executive producers Bob Boyett and Robert Horn on board, who have had huge family-programming hits like Family Matters, Perfect Strangers and Full House, the resulting mix of giant talents coming together for this show should produce interesting results. Add in FX’s penchant for creating experimental programming that goes outside the bounds of traditional network television, and we will definitely be on board to check this one out.
Two episodes of Partners will air back-to-back from 9-10 p.m. for five weeks as a lead in to Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management.”
Hopefully other characters will include Grammer’s brother Niles and a feisty female character named Sheneneh.
