Marlon Wayans hosting a variety show?  NBC says yes.  The new comedy variety show “I Can Do That” hosted by Marlon Wayans is coming to NBC this Summer. The show will feature 6 known entertainers who will have to push themselves in a performance area that they are unfamiliar with to put together a full variety show each week.

The cast features dancer and choreographer Cheryl Burke, recording artists Joe Jonas, Nicole Scherzinger and Ciara, comedian Jeff Dye and actor Alan Ritchson. They will be asked to come up with an act that they’re not normally known for including singing and/or dancing, magic tricks or even stunt work. “I Can Do That” will run for six 1 hour episodes this Summer. At the end of the six shows, one of the cast members will be named the Ultimate Entertainer.

This is the second summer in a row where NBC has turned to a Wayans brother for its mid-year entertainment. Last Summer, NBC brought back “Last Comic Standing” with Keenan Ivory Wayans as part of its judging panel. Marlon Wayans who will host “I Can Do That”, recently hosted the comedy competition reality show “Funniest Wins” on TBS last year.

“I Can Do That” is based on a series that currently runs in over 15 other countries including Italy, Brazil, Spain, Finland and Mexico.
