Love is On the Way! Watch the Trailer for Season Two

“Love” rolled out trailers and key art for its promised second Netflix season a little over a month before its March 10th premiere. To be specific, twenty four days before its premiere on Valentine’s Day because that just makes the most sense. It’s weird to see the highlight moments of such a slow-moving, earned show in less than two minutes, but the trailer especially captures the tenderness of two people trying to be better than they are for each other. Mostly from Mickey, in a sadly funny moment when her roommate, Bertie (Claudia O’Doherty) tells her to “stop having sex”.
Even if the show hadn’t succeeded with its first season as it did, Netflix signed the Judd Apatow show for at least two seasons, but it’s still exciting to see such carefully crafted characters wade into new waters. The second season welcomes back “Birthday Boy” Mike Mitchell as Randy and will bump its episode count to twelve with a third season preemptively promised. Netflix’s notoriety as the mother of modern TV binging is at odds with the slow-to-move, slow-to-digest tone of “Love”, but it’s obvious the network has a lot of confidence in its sleeper hit.
