After three weeks of previews at the Lyceum Theatre, opening night arrived for Broadway sensation Oh Hello Monday night and it was a star studded event. Our own Jeffrey Gurian was there, of course, and was caught up in the paparazzi of it all.

Also in attendance were such comedy luminaries as Lorne Michaels, Jimmy Fallon, Aziz Ansari, Michael Ian Black, Jason Mantzoukas, Jon Hamm– who is by the way, listed as Nick Kroll’s understudy in the program, Mario Cantone sitting with Susie Essman, Seaton Smith, Julie Klausner and Chris Gethard (whose own show starts later this week off Broadway, and produced by Judd Apatow). Alan Alda was in the house as Kroll and Mulaney’s celebrity guest star.

A few industry giants spotted were Mike Berkowitz, head of comedy at APA, producer Mike Lavoie, and Robert Smigel’s sister Bellanca, who is also one of the producers of “Oh, Hello.”

Also in attendance were some New York celebs, like Countess LuAnn de Lesseps from Real Housewives of New York, and Robin Byrd who was pranked with Too Much Tuna, during previews, and of course, Nick Kroll’s parents. Read more about opening night, from the red carpet to the after-party in Jeffrey Gurian’s bonus column this week!

Congratulations to Nick Kroll and John Mulaney on a gigantic open.
