And that’s according to a piece of papyrus from the 4th century written in Coptic. A Harvard Divinity professor decoded the words, which read “Jesus said to them, ‘my wife'”. It looks like this was a copy of something written around the 2nd century in Greek. The actual owner of the papyrus refuses to let themselves be known because they don’t want to be bothered by people offering to buy the piece. At least this ancient bar napkin has put to the rest the rumor that Jesus might of been gay.
