Leslie Jones School of Hater Management
Last night on Seth Meyers it was Leslie Jones very first talk show, and she came out guns blazing. We learned something we already knew which is that Leslie is so nice until you mess with her, and she explained how you deal with a hater. It’s simple. “If you call me a gorilla, I’m gonna call your momma one.” And when Leslie Jones calls your momma a gorilla, you’re gonna be the one crying.
Leslie also talked about how Chris Rock discovered when she was starting out in comedy. “I’ve known Chris a long long time, and he could have put me on a long time ago but I wasn’t ready. I didn’t realize I wasn’t ready until I got this,” she told Seth. She said Rock told Lorne “hey either you’re gonna discover her, or she’s gonna work at AT&T. And I don’t think she’s going to do well there.”
There you go, another reason to thank Chris Rock. Leslie’s also going to be in the new Ghostbusters reboot with some of the biggest names in comedy.
