Late Night Salutes David Bowie

Yesterday we lost the great David Bowie and the Late Night shows payed tribute. Team Coco shared some amazing memories of Bowie’s many past appearances on his show and remembered him as nice, funny and always fun in addition to being one of the most gifted and creative musicians to ever live. Conan shared clips of a side of Bowie that not everyone has had a chance to see- David being funny. The clips also went through some of Bowie’s many personas including some we don’t remember like the suave hunchback or the bucktooth wizard. It’s an amazing thing to listen to Bowie laugh and a great series of clips.

Jimmy Fallon also brought up Bowie’s great sense of humor and got a little choked up and even a little awkward. He called him a “mad genius who also had one of the greatest senses of humor of anyone I’ve ever met” and said they would email each other jokes from time to time. Colbert closed his show with a rendition of Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” by their musical guest EL VY with Jon Batiste and Stay Human in honor of the legend, while James Corden and the Late Late Show changed their marquis to pay tribute.
