Kevin Smith Tweets First Clip From “Tusk”

Kevin Smith released the first clip from his upcoming horror comedy movie “Tusk” on Twitter. That’s where Smith’s film first got fan approval. “Tusk” is the story of a man who is held hostage by a mysterious person living in Manitoba who physically tortures his captive while putting him through the process of turning him into a human walrus.
Kevin Smith came up with the idea of making a movie about this story on his SModcast with Kevin Mosier. The two discussed an article about a classified ad from a man who was offering free room and board to anyone willing to dress like a walrus around the house. Smith put it out to his Twitter followers to tweet #WalrusYes if they wanted him to make a film based on the conversation. #WalrusYes won out overwhelmingly over #WalrusNo and the film went into production.
Smith is now returning to Twitter where “Tusk” first got the go-ahead with a clip from the upcoming film starring Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Michael Parks and Genesis Rodriguez.
“Tusk” will be released in theaters Friday, September 19th.
