Kentucky Basketball Coach Says It’s Unfair To Play Michigan State This Soon

John Calipari, head coach of the number 1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats which has been called the best freshmen class of all time, does not want to play number 2 Michigan State this early in the season. Calipari said – “The issue becomes playing teams (like Michigan State) this early is not fair for my team. It may be fair for everybody else. But it’s no fair for my team. …It’s just not traditional in the sense everybody stays four years. So it’s not fair when we walk in and everybody else is more experienced.” After hearing this, Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said he agreed and urged Kentucky to forfeit before the game. So, Tuesday’s game could be a classic or really really short.
