Alexandra Daddario and Kate Upton are starring in a new road comedy film directed by William H. Macy. “The Layover” stars the two women who according to Variety, are “lifelong best friends who decide to avoid their problems by taking a vacation, only to find that their plane has been rerouted due to a hurricane warning.” Things get more complicated when they start fighting over the same guy while stuck in St. Louis. William H. Macy is also reportedly appearing in the comedy as well as directing it.
Alexandra Daddario broke out in HBO’s first season of “True Detective” and appears later this month in the Summer action disaster film, “San Andreas” starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Kate Upton’s comedy career includes appearances in the films, “Tower Heist”, “The Three Stooges” and “The Other Woman”.
The film had originally cast Lea Michelle from “Glee” in Daddario’s role.
