Epix believes that comedy comes in threes and has announced 3 brand new one hour specials from 3 talented comedians. This Spring, Epix is debuting stand up performances from Jim Norton, Jim Breuer and Lisa Lampanelli.

“Jim Norton: Contextually Inadequate” has its world television premiere on Epix on Friday, April 24th, at 10pm et. In his special, Norton is back at the Somerville Theatre in Boston where he updates the audience on his feelings about Bill Cosby and talks about his friend and co-host Anthony Cumia being fired from the Opie and Anthony Show.

In May, “Jim Breuer: Comic Frenzy” debuts on Epix. Jim returns to his native Long Island at The Paramount in Huntington, New York for a new one hour performance that includes Jim talking about what it’s like to take care of his elderly parents now and the oddly unglamorous work of performing on a heavy metal themed cruise ship. “Comic Frenzy” premieres Friday, May 29th, at 10pm et on Epix.

Lisa Lampanelli wraps up Epix’s first run of brand new comedy specials this year with “Lisa Lampanelli: Back to the Drawing Board”. Comedy’s Queen of Mean has a new look and a new attitude towards life, but she’s still every bit as insulting. Lisa takes the audience through her recent transformation and what it’s like to restart her life. Look for the premiere of “Lisa Lampanelli: Back to the Drawing Board” on Friday, June 26th, at 10pm et.

Lisa talked to Jeffrey Gurian about her new special for his Jumping Around column on the Interrobang. She said the taping for “Back To The Drawing Board” will happen Saturday, March 28th in Tarrytown, New York at the Tarrytown Music Hall. Lisa Lampanelli also told Gurian that she’s been working on the special for about a year featuring new material on being single again, her weight loss and getting back into dating. She’s already tried the new stuff in a couple of markets to prepare for the Tarrytown taping.

Epix CEO Mark Greenberg said, “We are excited to spotlight the work of Norton, Breuer and Lampanelli and their creative, take-no-prisoners, make-no-apologies approach to stand-up comedy. What distinguishes EPIX in this arena is that we celebrate stand-up by letting comics do what they do best, in their favorite environments, and present their work to our viewers uncut and uncensored.”

All these Epix comedy specials will also be available online, On Demand and on the Epix app after they premiere.
