Jim Jefferies Show Confirmed for a Second Season

When Jim Jefferies signed off for the last scheduled Jim Jefferies show in 2017, he said “we will be back” in 2018, but no official announcement had been made. Today comes the news that a season two pick up is official.

Comedy Central signed the Jim Jefferies Show to a twenty episode second season. The Jim Jefferies Show is currently nominated for a Writers Guild Award in the Comedy/Variety Talk Series category and we recognized the show as the funniest of the late night talk shows and the only politically leaning late-night series that puts comedy first.

“You’d think I’d stop being surprised at how smart and funny Jim is about everything,” said Comedy Central President Kent Alterman. “I’m just glad we’re still giving visas to people from whatever shithole country he comes from.”

Jefferies says he’s glad the series is returning and says “we have great things planned for this season including field pieces in Europe and Israel that I’m recording right now. I have missed being on air during the hiatus but luckily the President hasn’t said or done anything stupid worth talking about.”

Each week, Jefferies tackles the week’s top stories from behind his desk and travels the globe to far-off locations to provide an eye-opening look at hypocrisy around the world. Featuring interviews, international field pieces, and man on the ground investigations, Jefferies covers the most controversial issues, all through the lens of his distinctive brand of comedy. Jefferies sharp take on topics such as gun control, big game hunting, the National Anthem protests and sexual harassment have pushed the host into the mainstream late night conversation.

The Jim Jefferies Show ranks as Comedy Central’s #1 freshman series this year among P18-49.

No return date announced just yet but we’ll keep you posted.
