Jim Carrey’s “Kidding” Releases Another Trailer and We’re Counting the Days to Watch

Showtime released another trailer for Jim Carrey’s “Kidding” at the TCAs this week. Carrey returns to TV in what looks like its going to be weird, wonderful, silly and dark- all of the elements of some of Carrey’s best work.
Carrey stars as Jeff/Mr. Pickles, a tv icon on the level of Mr. Rogers proportions who teaches kindness to kids everywhere. But unlike Fred Rogers, there’s real dark humor here. This beloved children’s icon will face a crisis that will unravel him. This story of a kind man in a cruel world alternates between beautiful, joyful, hilarious, disturbing and crushing.
Frank Langella co-stars as Mr. Pickle’s ep Seb, whose job it is to keep the Mr. Pickles empire thriving despite Jeff’s problematic state of mind. Catherine Keener co-stars as head puppet maker Deirdre who has her own problems.
Kidding is created and executive produced and co-written by Dave Holstein along with EP Michel Gondry who is also doing some directing.
The new trailer is compelling and we can’t wait to see where Carrey and company take this new series. Kidding debuts Sunday September 9 at 10pm exclusively on Showtime.
