Jason Jones Got Sued Often over Daily Show Segments

Jason Jones was Stephen Colbert’s replacement on the Daily Show when Colbert left to host his own Comedy Central show. Wednesday night Jones was a guest on Colbert’s CBS Late Show and they talked about old times on CC.

Colbert said he helped to train Jones on how to do a field piece properly when Jones joined the team, and he must have done a good job because Jones ended up producing 118 pieces- the most of any Daily Show correspondent. He also gave him some advice, “check your soul at the door,” he told Jones, which seems to have paid off.

It also led to Jones holding another record- the most lawsuits against him– 3. Jones said every one of them are still pending, and although he didn’t say which pieces got him in hot water, he did say that he avoids Delaware.

Jones new tv show, The Detour, debuts on TBS on Monday, April 11th.
