James Caan Co-Starring In FOX’s Comedy Fantasy Football Pilot

James Caan has played a football coach in “The Program” and a player in “The Rain People” and in “Brian’s Song.” The Oscar and Emmy nominee is going to co-star as a former NFL coach and player in the new FOX comedy pilot, “Fantasy Life.”
Deadline reports that the comedy stars Kevin Connolly as Mitch who has landed his dream television job. He’s hosting a fantasy football sports show. Caan plays Chuck, a retired football legend, who is part of the new show’s hosting team. Chuck doesn’t appreciate or understand fantasy football since he played the real thing.
The pilot is based on the book by ESPN fantasy sports expert Matthew Berry. Vanessa Williams is also been cast in the pilot as the boss of Kevin Connelly’s character.
