Jags Owner Buys Fulham FC

Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Kahn has purchased the West London side Fulham FC. The purchase makes Kahn the 6th American majority owner of a Premier League team, joining the following: The Glazers with Manchester United, The Fenway Group with Liverpool FC, Randy Lerner with Aston Villa, Stan Kroenke with Arsenal, and Ellis Short with Sunderland FC. Kahn also replaces Randy Lerner as the third NFL owner, after Lerner sold his stake in the Browns last year.

And for those worried about Fulham leaving cozy Craven Cottage, there’s a good sign: the AP’s Rob Harris quotes outgoing owner Mohamad Al Fayed saying “Michael Jackson (statue) will stay – it’s part of the deal.”
