Clinical psychologist David J. Ley is the author of The Myth of Sex Addiction. He states that while stars including David Duchovny, Tiger Woods and Michael Douglas have all been treated, “Sex addiction is nothing more than a pop-psychology phenomenon.” He claims that most people only enter treatment after being caught cheating by their wives.
