Internet Providers are About to Implement the Copyright Alert System

download loadingIt’s a six strike rule going into effect against people found downloading copyrighted material. Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, Cablevision, and Time Warner are all part of this new system which can result in internet throttling and certain sites being blocked. The RIAA and MPAA are backing this new initiative and after your fifth warning the content owners and/or ISP’s can take legal action against you. Can the wild west days of the internet be coming to an end if this proves effective?
