Intel’s Attempting to Kill Cable TV
Computer chip maker Intel is attempting to create a box that will bypass cable and will provide users with unlimited DVR and the ability to choose whatever channels they want on their TV service. Its supposed to premier at this years CES, except they’ve ran into a snag. The problem? –
“…the company is having a hard time reaching content licensing agreements with media companies.Intel reportedly has at least one content deal, but is facing difficulties persuading other companies to license individual channels.”
Not having many channels people can actually subscribe to may just put an end to the whole “cable killing” moniker the device has gotten in the last few days.
