Indie Comedy Thriller Ghost Team Filming in New York City

John Heder, is set to star in the upcoming indie comedy feature film Ghost Team. He’s working with a great ensemble cast that includes David Krumholtz, Melonie Diaz, Paul W. Downs, Justin Long, SNL’s Tom Schiller and Amy Sedaris. The titular Ghost Team are  a group of amateur ghost hunters who get into some trouble in the course of a paranormal investigation.  Ghost Team examines the things people believe in to escape the monotony of everyday life and get through the day.

The cast is currently shooting in New York, on Long Island and in Brooklyn, using a new Steadicam called TANGO, created by inventor of the Steadicam, cinematographer Garret Brown.

Director Oliver Irving is already thrilled with the cast and the early stages of filming.  “I have tears in my eyes because I’m laughing so hard every take,” he said, “and we’re only a few days into the shoot. Of course, we haven’t started on the scary scenes yet…”

Producers include Julie Christeas and Schuyler Weiss of Tandem Pictures, Alex Sagalchik of Mott Street Pictures and director Oliver Irving. Executive producer Kevin Iwashina of Preferred Content will represent the distribution rights. Produced by Tandem Pictures, Ghost Team is from a screenplay by Peter Warren, based on a story by Irving and Warren. Composer Joe Hastings, with whom Irving collaborated on his debut feature How To Be, is also attached to the project.
