Remember the fear mongering about a possible bacon shortage!? Now there is word of a chicken wing shortage as we head into Super Bowl week. The National Chicken Council is saying there will be less wings to eat on this chicken wing eating holiday known as the Super Bowl because farmers produced fewer birds because of rising feed costs. The council expects wing consumption to be down by over 12 million wings this year compared to 2012’s game. Don’t panic, you can always go boneless.
