A Swiss woman was gang raped by six men in India while on a bicycle tour. The couple were camping off the side of the road when the six men beat them and tied up her husband. The police’s response to this tragedy?
“No one stops there,” he said. “Why did they choose that place? They were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They would have passed a police station on the way to the area they camped. They should have stopped and asked about places to sleep.”
Doesn’t look like any other country is close to dethroning India as the rape capitol, which they should start using on their travel brochures.
