Feds Stop the Sale of Generic Oxycontin

The FDA ruled that anyone making generic Oxycontin is going to have to make the pills harder to abuse, much like what’s been done with name brand Oxycontin. Purdue Pharma’s patent has run out on the painkiller which lets smaller pharmaceutical companies produce generic versions of the drug.

Oxycontin pulled in $2.8 billion dollars for Purdue Pharma and it looks like it’s gonna keep doing it until they make a generic time release pill. Don’t worry though, there’s always Roxicet’s that you can abuse in the meantime.
