“Fargo” Loads Up The Cast With Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson, Jean Smart, Nick Offerman and Brad Garrett

“Fargo” the mini-series is returning next Fall to FX with a new crime, a new story and a powerful new cast. Kirsten Dunst and Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemons were already announced as part of the new season. Now FX, has casting news on some of the other new characters which includes actors Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson, Jean Smart, Nick Offerman, Brad Garrett, Kieran Culkin, Bokeem Woodbine, Jeffrey Donovan and Angus Sampson.

The next chapter of “Fargo” takes place in 1979 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota.

Patrick Stewart joins the cast as State Police Officer Lou Solverson, recently back from Vietnam and who is investigating a case involving a local crime gang and a major Mob syndicate. He’s assisted by his father-in-law, a World War II vet played by Ted Danson. Emmy winner Jean Smart will play the matriarch of Gerhardt crime family in Fargo, while Nick Offerman has been cast as Karl Weathers, the town lawyer of Luverne, Minnesota. Brad Garrett will play Joe Bulo, an advance man for the Kansas City crime syndicate wanting to move into the territory.

Production starts in Calgary, Alberta on January 19th. And the new 10 episode season of “Fargo” is set to premiere in the Fall on FX.
