Fans Are Demanding Money Back After Rambling Dave Chappelle Performance
Fans who went out to see Dave Chappelle perform in Detroit are demanding their money back. According to TMZ, Chappelle came on the stage late and barely did any of his act. The late start was attributed to fans still being seated after the show was scheduled to begin. People in the audience say he seemed drunk and that he sat quietly telling very few jokes, smoking and slurring his speech.
That’s when the crowd at the Filmore had enough. People in the audience started yelling things out including “Let’s hear some of the act!” Chappelle replied with “It’s a little late for that”. He then got the time wrong and the crowd loudly and verbally corrected him. Maybe he was just annoyed because he was in Detroit.
For those looking for a refund, a spokesman for the Filmore said the theater is not liable for refunds for the tickets that ranged from $50 to $240. The venue said they’re not responsible for artists’ content.
