Eric Andre Reveals the One Bit Adult Swim Wouldn’t Let Him Put On His Show

Eric Andre, master of all that is awkward, sat down for an interview with the cast of Pop Trigger, an “unfiltered talk show” on The Young Turks Network. During the interview, which Andre gave with either a terrible hangover or food poisoning (he wasn’t sure which), the comedian and host of The Eric Andre Show gave a little insight into the inner workings of his most bizarre talk show.

In the midst of a desperate battle with his intestines, Andre revealed that in the four years that The Eric Andre Show has been on the air, there has only been one bit that Adult Swim refused to air, and that was his “pro-Al-Qaeda country song.”

“We had a country singer come in and sing, he’s like ‘Oh sweet Al-Qaeda, can’t believe I never tried ya,’” Andre sang in a spot-on southern twang.

Andre manages to struggle his way through the rest of the interview, giving some other cool behind-the-scenes details along the way, including how he first pitched his show to Adult Swim, and how he goes about hiring writers for the show.

The interview is worth a watch for any Andre fan, if only to hear the comic refer to his diarrhea as a “Yoo-hoo waterfall” to the dismay of everyone around him, so check it out below!
