Beloved comedian, politician, activist, spokesperson, and author Eddie Izzard will be coming to SiriusXM for a Town Hall and you can be in the audience and ask questions. Ron Bennington will moderate the Town Hall which will take place in SiriusXM’s famed Fishbowl studio.
Izzard will be talking about his brand new book Believe Me: A Memoir of Love, Death and Jazz Chickens which hits stores on June 13th. His book details his childhood, his early days as a street performer in London, and his ascent to international comedy superstar. Eddie is a comedy super human. He dropped out of university and started his career on the streets, and sparked a career that any performer would be envious of. He’s broken molds as an “action transvestite” performing frequently in make up and heels, other times in suits (always dressed with impeccable style) and he has toured some of the world’s largest venues. Izzard is the first solo stand-up comedian to perform at the Hollywood Bowl; has sold-out three consecutive nights at Radio City Music Hall and toured arenas throughout the U.S. and across the globe including a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. On TV, Izzard played a villain on NBC’s Hannibal to perfection, starred in Sony PlayStation’s original series Powers, and has a long list of film and stage credits that range from the Oceans series to Mamet. Izzard has the utmost respect of his peers, the love of audiences, and he’s a performance tour de force, playing more than forty countries worldwide and in four languages. On top of all that- he’s run a marathon of marathons and remains politically active. He’s fascinating and unbelievably funny.
Eddie will join host Ron Bennington to tape the Town Hall event at SiriusXM’s New York headquarters on Wednesday, June 14th from 9am to 10am, and everyone in attendance is going to get a free copy of his new book. The tickets to attend are free, but there aren’t a lot of seats, so request fast.
