“Dr. Katz Live” Available October 21st

dr katz liveDr. Katz fans get ready.  A live version of “Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist” will be available Tuesday, October 21st. “Dr. Katz” ran as an animated series for 6 seasons on Comedy Central. Comedian and actor Jonathan Katz played the title role of the cartoon therapist who helped comedians through their fears, insecurities and other emotional problems.

Back in 2008, the cast got together and performed a live  stage presentation of the show featuring the original cast in human form with Jonathan Katz, Laura Silverman as the receptionist and H. Jon Benjamin as Dr. Katz’s lazy son Ben, who mostly likes to flirt with Laura and avoid doing anything.  If you’ve been kicking yourself ever since for not grabbing tickets, you are going to love the news that you will be able to purchase the special on video later this month.

The video release includes a hysterical cast of guest “patients” including BJ Novak, Eugene Mirman, and Andy Kindler. The stage show was recorded in San Francisco. The only difference is the live stage version of the show will not be in Squigglevision, but feel free to watch on your phone and shake it a lot while you watch.

“Dr. Katz Live” will be available on iTunes, Amazon, and all other digital retailers on Tuesday, October 21st.
