Don Rickles Getting All-Star Tribute On Spike TV

Jerry Seinfeld, Jimmy Kimmel, David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Tracy Morgan, Robert De Niro, Bob Newhart, Martin Scorsese, Regis Philbin and Ray Romano are headlining this tribute to the 88 year old comedy legend.

Spike’s “One Night Only: An All-Star Comedy Tribute to Don Rickles” will include stand-up performances; short films; pre-taped tributes and personal stories as told by Rickles’ closest friends, co-stars and comedians he has influenced.  This will be Spike TV’s second annual “One Night Only.”  The first honored comedian Eddie Murphy.

“We’re thrilled that David Letterman, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Robert De Niro and so many more will be coming out to entertain and celebrate our hero – Don Rickles,” said Executive Producer Casey Patterson.  “The genius of Rickles is in the danger, nobody is safe, and what you can expect is a night of comedy from these superstars worthy of a legend.  It truly will be One Night Only.”

The 90 minute special will be taped on May 6 at New York’s Legendary Apollo Theater, and will air  May 28th on Spike TV. Think of it as a nice roast.
