Diana Nyad Completes Historic Swim From Cuba To Florida

It took 5 tries over 35 years, but Diana Nyad is now the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage. She left Havana on Saturday morning. Her team posted early Monday that – “Diana is on course to swim 112 statute miles. This is 35 more miles than anyone has ever swam.”
