Deadline Now Owns Variety

Penske Media Corporation, which is the parent company of Deadline, has just reached a deal to buy 107 year old Variety, Hollywood’s longest running trade paper. The price hasn’t been made public yet, but its rumored to be around $25 million. A blog has bought a newspaper, and the internet continues to roll over old media.
