David Spade and Chris Farley Fought Over Rob Lowe When Filming Tommy Boy

Monday night David Spade and Rob Lowe got very flirty on the Late Late Show with James Corden.  Many years ago, Rob and David worked together on the movie Tommy Boy with Chris Farley. Spade remembered how he and Farley used to fight over who got to hang out with super star Rob Lowe.

In the original concept for Tommy Boy, Rob Lowe’s character and Chris Farley’s character were supposed to be brothers and the focus of the film.  The focus later shifted to centering on Spade and Farley and Rob Lowe was given a smaller role, but Lowe says his name was somehow removed from the picture entirely.

Later, Spade talked about losing girlfriend Lara Flynn Boyle to Jack Nicholson after they all shared a joint. But the story should have been described as ‘that time I got to get high with Jack Nicholson and all I had to give up was my super hot girlfriend Lara Flynn Boyle.’
