David Letterman Announces First Post Late Show TV Gig

It was announced today that David Letterman is coming back to television. Letterman will appear on an episode of the Emmy winning documentary series “Years of Living Dangerously” tackling the issue of climate change in India.
Joel Bach and David Gelber who produce the series told the Hollywood Reporter that they got the idea from watching Letterman on The Late Show. Joel Bach said whenever Letterman would talk with scientists and the subject of climate change would come up, the host would perk up, so they decided to reach out to him to see if he would be interested.
According to Variety, Letterman will be making a “2016 journey to India to examine how that nation is trying to bring solar power to its entire population within the next decade.”
The first season of the award winning series aired on Showtime and featured many guest celebrity correspondents like Harrison Ford, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Michael C. Hall among others. Season two will feature new and returning celebrity correspondents including Jack Black, Aasif Mandvi, Olivia Munn and Cecily strong, and will air on The National Geographic Channel.
