Dan Aykroyd Helping Family of Slain Philly Cop

Dan Aykroyd is a good dude. He was in Philadelphia on Friday to appear at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Dan and Crystal Head Vodka also stepped up to help the family of the fallen police officer

Aykroyd took the opportunity at the show to promote a fund to raise money for the family of murdered cop Robert Wilson III that Philly is still reeling from. Wilson was killed this past Thursday when he went to a North Philadelphia GameStop where he was doing a security check and buying a game for his 8 year old son to congratulate him on his good grades. While in the store, two gunmen entered and the robbery attempt became a shoot out, killing the officer.

NBC News reported that Dan Aykroyd announced from the stage that he would be donating to the fund set up for the police officer’s children and encouraged others to do the same. Who ya gonna call?

Donations are being taken at Philadelphia branches of the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union and can also be sent to the following address.
