Curb Is Coming Back! HBO Announces Season 9 For Larry David and Friends

Curb Your Enthusiasm is coming back!!!!
There are only two men in the comedy world right now who are setting their own rules about when and how they will bring back additional seasons of their shows. One is Louis C.K. and he just announced that he will not be continuing his FX series Louie.
The other is Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. Today HBO delivered the amazing surprise that Curb Your Enthusiasm will return to HBO for a ninth season. No details yet, but Larry David said this for the reason he is bringing the show back. “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.’”
HBO’s president of programming Casey Bloys, said “We’re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of CURB and can’t wait to see what he has planned.”
Curb premiered on October 15, 2000 and ran for eight seasons. Curb has taken multiple hiatuses between seasons, but none longer than the current 5 year break. We last saw Larry and the gang in 2011. Since then, Larry’s been to Broadway and back, and has shown up on Saturday Night Live in the 41st season multiple times, including a Curb-based sketch, perhaps reminding LD how much he’s missed his loveable curmudgeon semi autobiographical character.
More details as they come!
