Crashing Season Three Trailer Shows Plenty of Uncomfortable Pete Ahead

Pete Holmes is back in NYC’s West Village for Season 3 on HBO. And you can get your first look at what this year has in store for Pete when the new season debuts in early 2019.

Pete gets a new girlfriend, a new source of income, and he’s having a crisis over financial success vs artistic success. He will ask himself, and anyone who will listen, “am I a sellout?” He’s still suffering in the confidence department and the social arts, so you can expect plenty of cringeworthy Pete Holmes awkwardness as he tries to navigate his way up in the world of stand up comedy. A lot of that discomfort shows up as he continues to try to fit in with the other comedians at the infamous comics table.

In the trailer we find out that John Mulaney, someone Pete idolizes in the comedy world, and had an uncomfortable encounter with in Season Two, has asked for him by name. Unfortunately, their second meeting doesn’t get off to a good start either.

And a new attempt to show some style will fail, but leads to new love for our boy Pete, which will definitely ease the pain now that his ex has also found someone new and hits a major career milestone.

Comedy guests this season include Jess Kirson, John Mulaney, Amy Schumer, Ray Romano, Emo Philips, Colin Quinn, Greer Barnes, Dan Naturman, Dave Attell, Amy Schumer, Ray Romano, Colin Quinn, Dave Attell, Chris Gethard, and Jaboukie Young-White.

IRL Pete Holmes headlines his second stand-up special on the network when “Pete Holmes: Dirty Clean” debuts on Saturday December 15th at 10pm ET, but you’ll have to wait until January 20th to see Crashing kick off its eight-episode third season.
