Copenhagen Zoo Kills Baby Giraffe, Feeds It To Lions

Zoo officials in Copenhagen are facing protests, petitions and death threats after they killed a healthy 2 year old giraffe and fed it to the zoo’s lions and other big cats. The zoo decided to kill the giraffe with a shotgun blast to the head because they had a surplus of the animals and wanted to avoid further inbreeding among them. Visitors were treated to watching the carcass get cut up and fed to the lions. The giraffe was last heard saying “Oh no” as he was walked into an empty cage.
