Conan O’Brien Takes Show To Cuba

When President Obama announced last year that he was opening up Cuba for Americans, that meant for the late night talk shows too. According to Deadline, Conan O’Brien announced that he’s taken Team Coco to Cuba for a special episode of “Conan” which will air Wednesday, March 4th. Conan and his crew spent the weekend filming in the island country.
Conan will be the first late night talk show host to visit Cuba since Jack Paar interviewed Fidel Castro in 1959. Paar took a lot of heat for the interview at the time. The U.S. embargo against Cuba started in 1962. Conan said he hopes to give Americans a look at the daily life that goes on in Cuba.
Conan is no stranger to taking his show on the road. He’s gone to Ireland, Finland, Toronto and around America in New York, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta. However this will be his first communist stop.
