Comedy Central Orders Series About Women’s Basketball

At some point, everyone’s heard jokes about women’s basketball. Now Comedy Central is going to make sure everyone hears some more. CC has ordered a new comedy series that takes place in the world of a women’s professional basketball league. Deadline says the “ensemble comedy revolves around a group of misfit women in LA who find new leases on life through their less-than-stellar all-girls basketball team”.

The series which is still untitled has some very funny women and men involved in the new comedy. It stars Amanda Lund and Maria Blasucci who starred in and created the Jack Black produced web series, “Ghost Ghirls” on Yahoo! Lund and Blasucci played best friends and paranormal investigators on the web comedy. The new basketball sitcom will bring in Jack Black’s Electric Dynamite company as producers as well as Jeremy Konner who also produced “Ghost Ghirls” and created “Drunk History” first at Funny or Die and then at Comedy Central.
