College Athletes Finally Getting A Payday…By EA Sports
Video game producer EA Sports and Collegiate Licensing Company will pay around $40 million to settle lawsuits brought by former college athletes whose likenesses were used without compensation. There were no details provided on how the settlement will be distributed among the former NCAA football and basketball players involved in the lawsuit. And unfortunately for other sports, EA never produced a lacrosse or volleyball video game.
